Near real-time, not live

Items from Google News appear only after Google indexes them, which can take minutes to several hours. The page refreshes every five minutes, but it may not reflect what is happening right now.

Hashtag tracker and experimental classifier

The "Public: Support" and "Public: Criticism" tabs select posts by the hashtags and phrases they use. This is not sentiment analysis. The support / criticism / neutral tags and the tone chart come from an experimental keyword list running in your browser. They may be wrong, cannot detect sarcasm or mixed opinions, and do not represent public opinion as a whole.

Verification flags

A "Verification needed" flag only means an item's text mentions a viral claim, a fact-check or similar words. It is not a verdict that the item is true or false. Please consult independent fact-checkers.

Neutrality

We do not favour any party, leader or opinion. Leaders are listed alphabetically, and items are ordered by time or by the source's own ranking. The presence or absence of any item is a result of automated rules and of what Google News indexes, not an editorial choice.

Opinions in posts and headlines are those of their authors. Showing them is not an endorsement by Bharat Pulse.
