Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 29, 2026
By using Bharat Pulse ("the website") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. The website is provided by Sajan ("we", "us").
1. What the website is
Bharat Pulse is a free, automated monitor that lists publicly available news headlines and public posts on X about India, grouped by state, person and topic, each with a link to its original source. Items are collected from Google News feeds; posts by a short list of known public X accounts (leaders and news agencies) are read from their public timelines through FxTwitter, a free public service. Bharat Pulse does not log into X or use X's API. We act as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000 for this third-party content.
2. Automated tool, no guarantee
All selection, grouping, tagging, the hashtag-based tracker and the experimental tone classifier are automated and may be wrong, incomplete or delayed (near real-time, not live). Nothing on the website is a verified fact, an official statement, or professional, legal or political advice. Always check the original source before relying on any item.
3. Acceptable use
In line with Rule 3(1)(b) of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you must not use the website to host, share or promote content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, invasive of privacy, harmful to children, misleading in a way intended to deceive, threatening to the unity, integrity, security or sovereignty of India, or that infringes anyone's rights. You must not disrupt, overload or attempt unauthorised access to the website, or scrape it in a way that harms its performance.
4. Third-party content and takedown
Headlines and posts belong to their authors and publishers; we show short titles and links for reference only. If you believe an item is unlawful, infringes your rights or concerns you personally, write to the Grievance Officer with the link and the reason. We will acknowledge within 24 hours, act on valid requests (removing or disabling the item from our page), and resolve complaints within 15 days, and within 72 hours where the IT Rules require it. We also comply with lawful orders of courts and government agencies.
5. Intellectual property
The Bharat Pulse name, logo, design and original text belong to Sajan. You may link to our pages freely, and you may export data for personal or research use with attribution to the original sources.
6. Advertising
The website may show third-party advertising such as Google AdSense. We are not responsible for advertisers' content, products or services.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the website or any content linked from it, including decisions made on the basis of automated tags, flags or classifications.
8. Privacy
Your use of the website is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer.
